Ideas for Someone Going to Walt Disney World
When someone you love is heading to Walt Disney World, the best gifts are the ones that actually make the trip better. I’ve found that experiences and practical magic beat out standard souvenirs every time. Here are a few of my favorite Disney gift ideas, based on what we’ve gifted each other over the years.
Disney Gift Cards
A Disney gift card might seem basic, but it’s honestly one of the best gifts you can give. They can use it for everything from grabbing a quick snack or a nice sit-down dinner to buying that perfect piece of merch they’ve been eyeing in the parks. It gives them flexibility and takes a little bit of the daily spending pressure off while they are on vacation.
Birthday Baskets
I once bought a happy birthday basket for my wife from Disney. Since we checked into our room together, she had no idea anything was coming. But when we got back late after a night at the parks, everything was waiting for her. To this day, we both still pull out the happy birthday cake balloon and the door hanger to celebrate.
A Dessert Party with Fireworks Viewing
My wife once gifted me a dessert party with special fireworks viewing. It ended up raining that night, so they served the snacks indoors and we never even saw the fireworks that day. But it was still a thoughtful idea, and I appreciated her going out of her way to do something different.
Cover the Room or the Flight
If you have the budget and are able to do it, gifting a flight or covering their resort room is really awesome. Lodging and flights are the heaviest parts of a Disney budget, so taking that off their plate is the ultimate gift.
